Cleaning My Own Carpet!

I bought these pieces of Shaw Anso Nylon carpet a while ag
and let them get trashed on purpose to see how well they would clean up.

One of the carpet runners was used in the kitchen where everything spilled on it
and the other runner was used at the door entry where we step on it to take off our shoes
bringing in whatever is outside onto it.

The larger piece is an almost white-colored carpet
and gets a lot of foot traffic as well, but everything cleaned up great!

This is why I strongly suggest buying Nylon carpet instead of any form
of Polyester when getting it installed in your home.

What Carpet Cleaning Method Is The Best?

While the majority of our customers request to have their carpets steam cleaned,
there are benefits to having your carpets cleaned with low moisture,
or what most people consider 'dry cleaning'.
If you vacuum regularly, and don't have a lot of foot traffic in your home,
low moisture carpet cleaning may be the best option for your home.
This is more of a maintenance cleaning and can be done every 6 months or yearly.

If your carpet is very soiled or you have pet urine issues and stains,
we highly recommend steam cleaning to completely rinse the carpet fibers.
This method uses very hot water (steam) that can get up to 260 degrees fahrenheit,
and rinses the carpet while disinfecting and cleaning.
At the same time we use a strong vacuum powered by our truck mounted unit
to suck all the water and dirt out to a waste tank in our van.

Carpet will take longer to dry using steam cleaning, but it is the best way
To completely rinse your carpet fibers if they are really soiled.
