Today's job was replacing a few areas of damaged carpet where my clients' dog ripped up the carpet and padding. Here is a great before and after picture showing how well the new piece of carpet blended in after patching in a new piece.

How well the new piece of carpet will blend depends on the condition of the existing carpet, the more worn and dirty it is the more noticeable the repair will be. I cleaned all the carpet after doing the repairs so this repair turned out very nice.

I also patched 3 more areas and my client had plenty of extra carpet, so repairing was definitely a better option than replacing all the carpeted areas.
