Today's job was re-stretching a master bedroom with a short hallway attached to it and then cleaning the carpets in the master bedroom and an office for a new client who found me on Google.

The master bedroom did have furniture but the way the room layout was made it easier to stretch towards one wall and get the job done without having to move most of the furniture out of the room.

Saturated With Pet Urine

Today's job was a large carpet patch repair where I replaced a large section of carpet and padding along the corner wall of this master bedroom in Carmichael CA.

My client had flooring installed in the main areas of their home and had plenty of carpet that was still in great condition to be used in other areas of their home. They had a few areas in their master bedroom where their dogs continuously used the bathroom and had become soaked with urine damaging the carpet, padding, and tack strips.

My client cut out the damaged areas of the carpet and padding, removed the urine-soaked tack strips, and sealed the subfloor with KILZ primer to get rid of any urine odor before installing the new carpet and padding.

I had to join two pieces of carpet to make a patch large enough to cover the area but I was able to join all the areas together and complete this repair so they didn't need to replace all the carpet and padding in the room. This was able to save my client over $1,000 and keep more carpet and padding out of the landfill.

Before tearing out carpet and padding that may still be in good condition, consider carpet repairs as they may be a better alternative.

Stretching Carpet In A Hallway Takes A Professional

This client had their carpet re-stretched in the past but it looks like the wrinkles came back in their main hallway area and needed to be repaired again. Hallways can be more difficult and require an experienced professional in order to stretch the carpet correctly and keep it tight.

This carpet is 18 years old but is still in great condition so I was able to cut a seam at a doorway and power stretch the hallway over to complete this repair.

Replacing Bleach Damaged Carpet

This client spilled bleach on their carpet and needed the area replaced with some leftover carpet they had from the installation. They tried to dye the damage with no luck so I was called out to cut and replace the damaged area to finish the repair.

This repair was for the offices at the Carmichael Water District in one of the rooms where they held their conferences. They had installed new wires for their equipment and needed the carpet repaired where they cut the carpet for the wires.

They had extra carpet so we were able to cut 5 areas in the room and replace with that carpet.

Repairing Carpet To Tile Transitions
